Ever since forming in 1983 our dynamic, highly successful, privately owned business has been all about "providing an experience of excellence for each and every customer". This involved implementing an operational plan that ensures the safest possible operation over and above the standard legislative requirements. The TeamDion Edgar -Nelson Base ManagerDion started his flying Career 10 years ago locally in the Motueka Nelson region. Some of Dion's experiences range from flying from Tuna boats to shifting Drill Camps in the remote areas of Alaska. Dion's expertise is in Long line, Fire Fighting and Mountain flying. Dion is also a B Category Instructor. Air CrewEvery Nelson Helicopters Pilot has been selected on 'Natural aptitude, experience, attitude and passion for flying'. Our pilots excel through their personal breadth of knowledge, disciplined approach, continuous training and aspirations of excellence.
